About Adios Adventure Travel

100% Peruvian, Adios Adventure Travel, formerly Adventure Holidays Peru, offers licensed touring, trekking and guide services to the most amazing places in Peru and Ecuador, including the Galapagos Islands. Our main destinations are Cusco, Inca Trail, Sacred Valley, Machu Picchu, Titicaca Lake, Iquitos and Manu National Park, including alternative hikes to Machupicchu.  Now offering services to southern Peru, Galapagos Islands, Quito, Cotopaxi National Park, Quilotoa Lake, Amazon jungle and more.

People ask us how we manage to offer affordable trips with the superior level of service for which we have become known.  It's true that we do pay our providers, porters and guides a living wage, but we have streamlined our operations to reduce overhead costs.  Because we organize everything ourselves, we have control over the details that make our trips meaningful for our clients.  We believe in passing the savings on to our customers.  As we expand, our former clients keep coming back and have told others about their experiences.  It's a win-win situation.

Founded 15 years ago by Vidal Jaquehua, Adios is entirely Qechua owned and operated. We passionately strive to preserve and support regional cultures and ancient traditions in Peru and Ecuador, through geotourism, fair employment practices, service projects and by supporting indigenous industries, with all profits reinvested in the local economy.

The goal of Adios is to exceed the expectations of every traveler, primarily by providing authentic experiences and customized, yet flexible itineraries with attention to comfort and safety. Travelers can enjoy a life of adventure without worry. Adios best serves small groups, (2-12), including women, families and students.

In 2006, Adventure Holidays Peru began to expand and is now expanding into Ecuador. This has allowed us to focus on superior service, because we know the places you want to explore, the people you want to meet and the most enjoyable routes to follow.

Meet our staff:

Hi my name is Vidal Jaquehua. I'm the founder and owner of AHP and AAT.  My 5 siblings and I were born  and raised in Cusco, Peru. My parents are Quechuan People (desendents of the Incas). I give up my law career in order to start this business, because I love showing my country and my people with our culture and traditions. For over 15 years, I have been a licensed tour guide. I love my job, I have guided more than 5000 travelers over the paths and roads of Peru, so don't worry, you'll be in good hands.

Maria de los Angeles Masias: Maria is an experienced manager and whether it be guiding on the trail or administrative duties in our office, her contributions to the success of all our trips is essential. Maria de los Angeles has more than 5 years experience in the tourist community and is the backbone of the administration at Adventure Holidays Peru EIRL.

 

 

 

Hello friends, my name is Jacquie Whitt and I live in Virginia Beach, Virginia with my husband and two children. After several years of adventure travel planning and guiding on three continents, I made my first trip to Peru in March 2007. I had no idea what I was getting into, but decided that I wanted to try something very different from the typical European/Western culture travel experience. I was overwhelmed by the raw, billboard-free landscape, and especially, by the generosity of people who have limited economic assets, yet still live abundant lives.
