People ask us how we manage to offer affordable trips with the superior level of service for which we have become known. It's true that we do pay our providers, porters and guides a living wage, but we have streamlined our operations to reduce overhead costs. Because we organize everything ourselves, we have control over the details that make our trips meaningful for our clients. We believe in passing the savings on to our customers. As we expand, our former clients keep coming back and have told others about their experiences. It's a win-win situation.

Founded 15 years ago by Vidal Jaquehua, Adios is entirely Qechua owned and operated. We passionately strive to preserve and support regional cultures and ancient traditions in Peru and Ecuador, through geotourism, fair employment practices, service projects and by supporting indigenous industries, with all profits reinvested in the local economy.
The goal of Adios is to exceed the expectations of every traveler, primarily by providing authentic experiences and customized, yet flexible itineraries with attention to comfort and safety. Travelers can enjoy a life of adventure without worry. Adios best serves small groups, (2-12), including women, families and students.
Adios Adventure Travel has built a reputation in the adventure travel industry that demonstrates our ability to work with agencies and people from around the world. We know it is necessary to promote sustainable tourism as it helps to develop Peru as a country with a viable economy.
In 2006, Adventure Holidays Peru began to expand and is now expanding into Ecuador. This has allowed
us to focus on superior service, because we know the places you want to
explore, the people you want to meet and the most enjoyable routes to
follow.
We organize our own treks and tours which gives us
complete control over the quality of the services that we offer. As an
adventure tour operator, our goal is to promote meaningful tourism in
Peru and Ecuador. We have guided thousands of travelers and because we live
locally, we can take you off the beaten tourist track, to the real South America. Our attention to detail is unsurpassed. Consider the many
different hikes near Cusco, Quito and other regions of Peru and Ecuador. Explore the
Inca Trail hikes to Machu Picchu or alternative hikes in Peru including
Salkantay, Huchuyqosqo, Ausangate, Lares, Cacchiccata and other lesser
known and unspoiled destinations. Hiking in Ecuador is equally as unspoiled whether you choose Quilotoa Lake or Cotopaxi National Park.

Meet our staff:
Hi my name is Vidal Jaquehua. I'm the founder and owner of AHP and AAT. My 5 siblings and I were born and raised in Cusco, Peru. My parents are Quechuan People (desendents of the Incas). I give up my law career in order to start this business, because I love showing my country and my people with our culture and traditions. For over 15 years, I have been a licensed tour guide. I love my job, I have guided more than 5000 travelers over the paths and roads of Peru, so
don't worry, you'll be in good hands.

Hello friends, my name is Jacquie Whitt and I live in Virginia Beach, Virginia with my husband and two children. After several years of adventure travel planning and guiding on three continents, I made my first trip to Peru in March 2007. I had no idea what I was getting into, but decided that I wanted to try something very different from the typical European/Western culture travel experience. I was overwhelmed by the raw, billboard-free landscape, and especially, by the generosity of people who have limited economic assets, yet still live abundant lives. Vidal and I have become friends and have teamed up to help you with your travel plans. If you want to travel with a group or with a friend or two, we can help you with all planning and logistics. Whether you crave an adventurous getaway, the mind-blowing trip of a lifetime, or something in between, contact me at: jacquie@adventureholidaysperu.com and we can start planning your trip today.

Hi Vidal,
Thanks for the info. Yes, we very much enjoyed the jungle. But Machu
Picchu & Sacred Valley were high lights of the Peru trip. Here is a
brief writeup on our Inca trail hike/Sacred Valley tour. Please feel
free to use it on your website. I was trying to post a review on
tripadvisor.com as well, but I couldn't find a section to post review
on travel agencies. If you know of any other web sites where I can post
reviews, please let me know. I will be glad to do it. Also, attached
some photos.
We had a wonderful time in Cusco/Sacred Valley/Machu Picchu, many
thanks to Vidal and AdventureHolidaysPeru. From the time we landed in
Cusco, you basically took care of everything for us. The city tour
group you booked us into was awesome, it was a small group of 8 people
or so, unlike other tour groups who were basically running full buses.
Inca trail hike was the best hike we ever did in our lives. Vidal, our
guide, is extremely well read & knowledgable. His respect towards
nature and Inca culture is admirable(quite in contrast to some of the
guides you will come across in Machu Picchu who basically shout at the
top of their voices to let themselves heard). Thanks a lot to Vidal
for making this hike a memorable one.
The accommodations you booked us in at Ollantaytambo & Aguas
Calientes were awesome, quiet & clean rooms, exactly what we
wanted. We would like to thank Maria and Hubert for taking us around
Sacred Valley and Pisac market. We had a great time.
We would definitely like to come back. Next time, we would like to do
the full 4 day hike. Also, we would like to thank you for the front row
seats in the train. It was a real treat :)
Thanks a lot!
Ganesh & Shalini
