Sunset and Sunrise 2 Days


This is the kind of hike that is well know as the two day Inca Trail.
We go by bus to Ollantaytambo were the train station is located; from here we take the train to get you to Km 104 where we jump off next to the train tracks. here is were the hike start, uphill towards Winaywayna (close by is the current campsite for the regular hikers of the traditional Inca trail). Then we continue through the mountain until we reach the place call Inti Puncu (Sun Gate). From this place you'll be able to see Machupicchu, then will have 30 minutes downhill to the sanctuary it self; you'll have plenty time to enjoy the sunset; After wards will go by bus to the hotel in Aguas Calientes and rest for the night on the town.


Day 01
Cusco - Ollantaytambo Chachabamba - Winaywayna - Machu Picchu

Early in the morning we come to your hotel to take you to the train station, where we board the train to Aguas Calientes. the train stops in the jungle at Km 104, the starting point of our trek, crossing the river on footbridge, we check-in with park rangers at the control point, then continue our hike to the archaeological site of Chachabamba, with an elevation of 2150m. From here we ascend up hill for about 2 hours until we reach a beautiful secluded waterfall and in a few more minutes, will arrive at the fascinating archaeological site of Wiñaywayna 2650 m (8,694.23 ft). After we explore this magic place. well continue our hike through the semitropical cloud forest area, reaching finally Intipunku (The Sun Gate) to get our first glimpse of Machu Picchu. After a short hike down, we will stay to enjoy the sunset before we descend by bus to Aguas Calientes for a comfortable night in a hotel .

Day 02
Machu Picchu - Cusco

After an early breakfast, we will take the first bus up to Machu Picchu to enjoy the magic of the sunrise and a private, guided tour before the arrival of many tourists. After your guided tour, you are free to explore the ruins on your own.

In the afternoon, we return to Aguas Calientes by bus, then we take the train to Ollantaytambo, finally the bus to the hotel in Cusco.
