This trail take us to Machu Picchu through an alternative route. Starting in Mollepata, from where we enjoy impressive views of high mountains such as Salkantay, we descend to the cloud forest along Santa Teresa River. Walking on remnants of an ancient Inca trail, surrounded by native trees known as Queuñas and a variety of birds and insects, we travel throughout fruits, yuca, coca, coffee and cacao plantations. A small part of the trek will be done by train up to Aguas Calientes town. Overnight at a comfortable hotel. Early morning breakfast to a one-and-a-half hour trek to Machu Picchu. Four hour visit to the citadel. Optional hike to Huayna Picchu.
